Rules & Regulations

To ensure a fair, transparent, and consistent betting environment for all Australian punters, BetFrontier.com operates under the following official sports betting rules.

General Betting Rules

These general rules apply to all markets unless superseded by specific sport rules listed below.

Settlement of Bets

Bets are settled according to the official result declared by the relevant sports governing body at the conclusion of the event. Any subsequent overturning of decisions, disqualifications, or result amendments will not affect the initial settlement.

Abandoned / Postponed Events

If an event is abandoned or postponed and not rescheduled to be played within 48 hours of the original start time, all bets on the event will be voided and stakes refunded, unless the outcome of a specific market has already been unconditionally determined.

Maximum Payouts

The maximum daily payout for any single customer across all winning bets is set at $100,000 AUD, regardless of the odds or stake placed. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure their wagers do not exceed potential returns beyond this limit.

Sport Specific Rules

Different sports have unique match structures and scoring systems. Please review the rules for your preferred sports.

AFL (Aussie Rules)

  • All bets are settled on regular time (80 minutes) plus stoppage time.
  • Overtime is NOT included unless explicitly stated in the market (e.g., "To Advance" or "Final Winner").
  • If a match results in a draw and no draw price was offered, Dead Heat rules apply.

NRL (Rugby League)

  • Bets are settled on 80 minutes of play.
  • Golden Point (extra time) IS included for Match Betting and Line Betting markets.
  • First Try Scorer bets stand if a player takes the field before the first try is scored.

Cricket

  • If a match is shortened due to weather, bets will be settled based on the official competition rules (e.g., Duckworth-Lewis method).
  • "Top Runscorer" bets are void if the selected player is not in the starting XI.
  • If a match ends in a tie and a Super Over is played, the Super Over determines the winner.

Soccer

  • All markets are settled on 90 minutes play (including injury time) unless stated otherwise.
  • Extra time and penalty shootouts do not count for standard Win/Draw/Win markets.
  • If a match is abandoned before 90 minutes, all bets are void except those already determined.

Basketball

  • Overtime IS included in the settlement of all Match, Line, and Total Points markets.
  • Player Props are valid only if the player enters the court during the game.
  • For 4th Quarter markets, overtime is NOT included.

Racing

  • All racing bets are subject to the official stewards' deductions if there is a late scratching.
  • Protest Payouts: We pay out on both the interim winner and the official winner if a protest is upheld (subject to promotional limits).

Betting Terminology Definitions

All-In Betting
"All-In" means your bet stands regardless of whether your selection participates in the event or not. No refunds will be given for non-starters under All-In rules (commonly used in Futures markets).
Dead Heat
A Dead Heat occurs when two or more participants tie for a position. In this case, your stake is divided by the number of tied participants, and paid out at the full original odds.
Void Bet
A bet that is canceled and declared invalid. The stake is fully refunded to the customer's account balance. This often happens due to match cancellations or palpable pricing errors.
Line Betting (Handicap)
A market where a virtual point advantage or disadvantage is applied to a team to level the betting field. Your selection must cover the line for the bet to win.
